We stayed here on 10/10/17 while on a bicycle trip and I wouldn't stay here again. The place has obviously seen better days and looked rundown with maintenance sorely needed (our toilet seat was so loose as to be a hazard, for example). The beds were comfortable and the WiFi was OK, but I had to persuade the desk clerk to give us extra towels so were could wash our bike clothes and dry them as much as possible. The "breakfast" consisted of coffee/tea and two very sugary cereal choices so we walked to the Waffle House down the road. The Days Inn next door looked in much better shape.
Econo Lodge is a great location if you're visiting Kings Dominion. They have great Wi-Fi, fridges and microwaves, a small breakfast, nice tv's, and really nice beds. The downside would be the bathrooms, our shower was tiny and the drain was very rusted. The pillows were very flat so if you like fluffy pillows you might want to bring your own. In the end I would stay there again.
Probably could do better for the price of a room though. I can't complain though, I needed a room and they had one.
The beds were Ok the a.c. barly worked room was still warm in the morning when leaving shower head was old and corroded corroded survey about the Econo Lodge
Very clean, courteous staff, makes every effort to satisfy their guests.
Showing it's age. Probably pretty nice back in 1980. Has all the basics down; fridge, microwave, safe, digital alarm clock, iron & ironing board, coffeemaker, and hair dryer, fuzzy looking TV (Insignia brand-name) with cable, wall mounted heater/AC.
